Lenten Book Study: “How We Learn to Be Brave: Decisive Moments in Life and Faith” (Copy) (Copy) (Copy)

  • Madrona Grace Church 832 32nd Avenue Seattle, WA, 98122 United States (map)

Starting on Wednesday, March 12th, Madrona Grace will begin our six-week Book Study for Lent. We will be reading and discussing “How We Learn to Be Brave: Decisive Moments in Life and Faith” by Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde.

Following his inauguration, Bishop Budde asked the President to have mercy on those who are scared in this country right now (gay, lesbian and transgender children, immigrants who are working jobs that support the whole country, and all who live here in the U.S.).

The book is available from Barnes and Noble in hardcover and e-book formats; you need not attend all, or any, of our sessions to be able to benefit from the wisdom Bishop Budde has built over her decades of experiences in ministry and spiritual exploration.

Pastor Reggie Avant and Rev. Dr. Marsha Cutting will be leading this study, and we invite anyone who is interested in joining the Wednesday evening discussion group (6:30pm on Zoom) to please contact Pastor Reggie at pastorreggie@madronagrace.org. We hope you will feel supported in knowing your neighbors are engaged in the quest for bravery in these times.
